Important Notice
San Marcos will consider
undergraduate applicants who are applying as: first-time
freshmen, upper-division transfer students (those who will have completed
60 transferable units of college-level work by the end of the spring
term), and second bachelor's students.
San Marcos will not
admit lower-division transfer students (those with fewer than 60
transferable units), except for the Nursing Program.

CSU San Marcos offers
Bachelor's Degrees in more than 20 fields of study.
You may
enter CSU San Marcos after completing secondary school as a
first-year freshman, as a transfer student with 60 units of college credit, or as
a second bachelor's degree student. Students wishing to transfer from U.S.
community colleges must have 60 credit units completed by the spring
before fall admission or summer for spring admission.
