Use of Advanced Placement Credit in General Education

Cal State San Marcos grants credit towards its undergraduate degrees for successful completion of examinations of the Advanced Placement Program of the College Board. The following table indicates which General Education and other University requirements are satisfied by students who present scores of 3, 4, or 5 on Advanced Placement examinations.

 These equivalencies are in effect for all AP exams taken after July 1, 2006. For AP exams taken prior to July 1, 2006 click here.
