Topics Courses not seeking Initial General Education certification ["½-year" cycle]

Note that a T-form needs to be submitted for each semester that a topic is to be offered.

  1. College Review Level (See College procedures and timelines).
  2. If the College recommends approval, it sends the course proposal to Academic Programs for review by the Associate Vice President for Academic Programs (AVPAP)
  3. If the AVPAP approves the course proposal, it is included in the on-line Class Schedule and the topic description also appears in the on-line Class Schedule.

Special Topics courses intended to be offered in a Fall Semester must be approved by the AVPAP by the fourth week of January. Proposals for Fall topics should be submitted to Academic Programs no later than the third week of January.

Special Topics courses intended to be offered in a Spring Semester must be approved by the AVPAP by the fourth week of September. Proposals for Spring topics should be submitted to Academic Programs no later than the third week of September.

Topics forms which arrive in Academic Programs after these dates may still be offered and appear in the on-line Class Schedule. It is recommended that proposals be submitted as early as possible.
