Curriculum Process and Deadlines

The following descriptions of the curriculum processes were prepared by Academic Programs to replace the "Curriculum Calendar." These descriptions were reviewed and improved but not approved by the Budget and Long-Range Planning (BLP) Committee, the General Education Committee (GEC), and the University Curriculum Committee (UCC) in Spring 2003.

Process for

• New Minors, New Options/Concentrations/Emphases/Tracks ["1-year" cycle]
• Changes to existing degree programs ["1-year" cycle]
• New courses and changes to existing courses ["1-year" cycle]
• General Education certification ["1-year" cycle]
• Topics Courses not seeking Initial General Education certification ["½-year" cycle]
• Topics Courses seeking Initial GE certification ["½-year" cycle]
