P.R.I.D.E. (Peer Resources in Discussing Education) Ambassadors will give a presentation for about 30 minutes.
Depending on the grade level, the depth of the discussion varies concerning what makes CSUSM different, college
prep course requirements, study habits, time management skills, student life, etc. An overview is given about
how college classes operate. Students are paired off, given a “class confirmation form” for a specific class
at 10:00 a.m., and assigned a class. P.R.I.D.E. Ambassadors brief students on what to expect in a college
classroom and appropriate behavior. P.R.I.D.E. Ambassadors will give the students a 45 minute campus tour and
then release them to find their class.
The Freshman For A Day Program serves to provide enrichment and motivation to high school students who have
not been exposed to college life. It provides students with the opportunity to take an active role in becoming
a student in higher education.
