Appeals & Petitions
CSU San Marcos reviews each applicant's record thoroughly in the admissions process and admissions decisions are rarely reversed. The admissions process is completely objective, based on each applicant's self-reported academic qualifications on the Application for Admission and official transcripts and test scores received by published deadlines.
Appeals regarding minimum admissions requirements, deadlines or the actions by or information provided by other schools, colleges or universities are not considered. Inquiries regarding consideration of special circumstances for applicants with documented disabilities or military obligations may be submitted to admissionsappeals@csusm.edu.
California State University San Marcos will have limited space for fall 2011 and fall 2012 admission due to the State of California budget and California State University enrollment management directives. All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for admission to multiple institutions. Therefore, all requirements and deadlines will be strictly enforced.
We strongly encourage inactive, waitlisted or denied applicants to consider other admission and enrollment opportunities at other colleges or universities for fall 2011 and fall 2012. Alternately, we would welcome your application to CSU San Marcos for a future term.
