PRE-ADMISSION ADVISING
What is It?
Beginning August 1, 2005, the Office of Admissions & Recruitment will provide several admissions information sessions each week. Admissions Information Sessions will provide prospective freshmen and transfer students with information about Cal State San Marcos admissions requirements, the admissions process, dates and deadlines for applying as well as information about academic majors offered, student services and campus life. Please note that academic advising does not occur in these sessions but is available to admitted students at orientation.

Students who already have a bachelor's degree and wish to receive graduate admissions information and/or advising should
contact the academic department directly.
How do I make an Appointment?
Appointments are not necessary for the Admissions Information Sessions. Printed material will be provided in the session.
You do not need to bring copies of transcripts or test scores as evaluations will not be conducted as part of these sessions.
Evaluation for admission is only conducted at the time of application to the university.
When I Visit, Where do I Park?
Please plan on purchasing a temporary parking permit to park in any student parking lot.
The permit rates are: $6.00 for a one-day permit, or $2.00 for a one-hour permit
(Yellow permit meters accept quarters and dollar bills only.) Vehicles without a permit are subject to
citation from Parking Services.
