  • Total enrollment: 10,364. Undergraduate students: 9,929; graduate students: 435.
  • CSUSM is home to a diverse population of students. Our ethnicity: 0.3 percent Native American/American Indian, 3.0 percent African American, 8.4 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 35.8 percent Hispanic, 36.5 percent Caucasian, 5.7 percent Two or more races and 2.7 percent Non-Resident.
  • 67 percent of our students receive financial assistance.
  • 39 percent of our student population is male and 61 percent is female.
  • 28 percent are the first members of their families to seek a college degree.
  • Top 10 majors (highest enrollment) are Business Administration, Psychology, Nursing, Human Development, Criminology, Liberal Studies, Communications, Biological Sciences, Kinesiology, and Sociology.
  • The mean GPA is 3.17 for enrolled freshmen and 2.95 for transfer students.
