- Giving / Development
University Advancement works with individuals, foundations, and corporations to realize their philanthropic goals. Donations in support of scholarships, academic programs, research, endowments and capital projects ensure that CSUSM continues to achieve excellence. - Communications
The Office of Communications coordinates all University communication for internal and external audiences, telling the story of CSUSM through Steps, our campus magazine, press releases, and other print and electronic platforms. - Alumni Relations
Our Office of Alumni Relations connects alumni, parents, current students, and friends of the university with one another to promote and foster a spirit of involvement with and commitment to CSUSM. Cal State San Marcos takes great pride in the achievements of all of our alumni and recognizes that we are able to achieve successes both large and small directly because of their generosity and support.

The mission of University Advancement is to develop greater understanding and support for University goals, programs and activities among many publics, and to secure private support to enable the University to be a recognized leader in student-centered teaching and research to better serve the people of the region and the state.
