Driving Directions to Campus:
CSU San Marcos is conveniently located in North San Diego County — only a short drive from the City of San Diego, Riverside County, and Orange County. The campus is easily accessed from Interstates 5 and 15:
From Interstate 5
•From Interstate 5, merge onto eastbound Highway 78
•Drive approximately 14 miles on eastbound Highway 78, then exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road
•Turn right to go south on Twin Oaks Valley Road
•After approximately .5 mile, turn left onto Craven Drive. You have now arrived at CSU San Marcos.
From Interstate 15
•From Interstate 15, merge onto westbound Highway 78
•Drive approximately 4.5 miles on westbound Highway 78, then exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road
•Turn left to go south on Twin Oaks Valley Road
•After approximately .5 mile, turn left onto Craven Drive. You have now arrived at CSU San Marcos.
Parking on Campus:
Visitors and Guests to CSU San Marcos have one of three choices for parking. A parking permit is required at all times while parked on campus.
1.Visitors may purchase a daily or timed permit in any general parking lot, or all-day permits from the Parking and Commuter Services office (located in FCB 107). For questions, please call Parking and Commuter Services at: 760.750.7500.
Daily Rates (Yellow & Blue Pay Stations)
Pay stations accept 1's, 5's, and quarters.
Pay Stations are located in parking lots B, C, F, J, K, N, X, and the Parking Structure 1.
◦All Day permit: $9
◦5 hour permit: $7
◦3 hour permit: $6
◦1 hour permit: $3
2.Visitors may utilize parking meters located in lots, B, C, E, O, and L. Cost of the parking meters are $1.50 per half hour.
3.Visitors and guests may park in any timed zone such as 3, 5, 15, or 30 minute zones.
Daily permits should be displayed face up on the dash board of the vehicle so they are clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle; the date and time information should be displayed and clearly visible from outside of the vehicle. A citation may be issued if the permit is not properly displayed.
