ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ARTS & LECTURES

Beginning in AY 12-13, tickets will be required for all Arts & Lectures events. This change provides the opportunity to improve upon and strengthen the success of the existing program by maintaining the curricular connection for students and faculty as well as accommodating community guests who wish to attend. This model will also alleviate the problem of having to turn people away at the door because of lack of available seating.

While a few events will remain free, all events will require tickets.  All CSUSM student tickets will be paid with Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) funds, ensuring that students can attend all events for no cost other than the fee they already pay.

CSUSM faculty and staff can purchase tickets at a discounted price.  Faculty and staff who proposed an event can attend that event free and co-sponsors will receive a limited number of free tickets.  Faculty whose syllabi require their students to attend events will also be admitted free.

Tickets will be available via the Arts & Lectures website.  CSUSM students will have the first opportunity to acquire tickets for at the beginning of each semester.  This fall that will be through September 3, 2012.  On September 4, the website will release tickets to the general public, faculty, and staff.

Please watch for future information on the ticketing process and procedures.  The newly designed brochure will be available by August 27, 2012.
