San Marcos
San Marcos is a small, friendly and safe community in beautiful north San Diego County. San Marcos is about 37 miles (60 km) north of downtown San Diego and 100 miles (160 km) south of downtown Los Angeles. The campus is close to Southern California beaches, mountains, and deserts, where you can swim, surf, hike, bicycle, golf, and ski. The San Diego Zoo, Downtown San Diego, and Sea World are about a 40-minute drive from San Marcos; Disneyland is a one-hour drive; and Hollywood is a 120-minute drive.
Weather
The San Diego region has one of the best climates in the United States. Average temperatures range from a low of 57F (14C) in January to a high of 75F (24C) in June. The humidity is very low, and the average yearly rainfall is less than 9.8 inches (25 cm).
