TOEFL WAIVER PROGRAM
For graduate/undergraduate admission to California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), you need not take the TOEFL if you:

Successfully complete* the Intensive Academic Preparation (IAP) program.

Get a grade of "B" or higher in all ALCI courses (3.0 GPA).

Have a letter from the ALCI Director that says you are ready for college- or university-level work.
*“Successfully complete” means you:

Complete at least one full semester at Level 105, AND
-
Test into Level 106 at semester’s end.
You must also meet all CSUSM admission requirements.
