
Student Organization Banking
The ASI Corporate Office serves as the hub for all recognized Student Organization banking services. Please see the power point (Student Organization Banking) for questions regarding student organizations’ banking such as deposits, paying bills, checks, or monthly statements. ASI provides ALFB funding for student organizations’ events and student attendance at professional conferences. The ASI Finance Board determines the allocation of ALFB funds. The Finance Board is made up of twelve students and one ASI staff member and is chaired by the ASI student elected Vice President of Finance. The Board meets to review all eligible applications approximately three times a semester. All Board meetings are open: Students who have submitted an application are encouraged to attend to answer questions that may arise, but attendance is not a requirement. Funding is granted based on eligibility per the ALFB Guidelines and Instructions.
After a decision is made, the applicant will receive an email noting the decision of the Finance Board. Funding for student organization events is paid on a reimbursement basis.
ASI has allocated $20,000 for the 2011/2012 academic year to ALFB. Of this amount, $10,000 is marked for student organizations’ on-campus events. The ASI Finance Board awards funding on a first come, first serve basis. All students are encouraged to request funding early in the year.
