The data notebook contains numbers and percentages relative to students in the Computer Science major and program faculty. The collection of data reflects the time period of Fall 2005 to Fall 2010.

Students in the Major

  1. Number of majors and degrees awarded
  2. Full-time Equivalent Student (FTES) and Student to Faculty (SFR) Data
  3. Undergraduate and Graduate Student Profile Data (such regularly produced demographic data for students in the major as age, ethnicity, gender, residency, average credit  hour load, mean GPA at entry and annually, median SAT scores, remediation status, etc.)
  4. Retention and graduation data for both undergraduate and graduate students in the program.
  5. Relevant findings from other surveys (if number of majors/students responses allow

Program Faculty

  1. List of tenured/tenure-track faculty
  2. Demographic data on all program faculty (e.g. gender/ethnicity/rank)
Real-time data is available by accessing The Reporting and Data Analytics Repository (RaDar).


The Reporting and Data Analytics Repository is developing as a one-stop center for campus data. Currently the Student Profile is available via RaDar and provides information about key characteristics (gender, class level, major, etc.) of all enrolled students at Cal State San Marcos by Fall term.
