Nov 27 -- 2007 Men's Soccer Season Review:  Unmet Expectations
Following their tremendous and unexpected success in 2006, the Cougar men's soccer team appeared poised for an even better 2007.  But those expectations were left unmet with the team's 6-10 record this season.

Oct 21 -- Women's Soccer Plays to Hard-Fought Tie; Men Lose 2-0 to Close Out Season
With their respective seasons coming to a close, the Cougar soccer teams put forth good efforts at Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday.  The women played another excellent game, earning a 1-1 tie with Pomona's tough squad; and while the men lost 2-0 to finish out their 2007 season, they went out with a spirited effort.

Oct 19 -- Women's Soccer Settles for Tie at San Bernardino; Men Lose
It was a disappointing Friday for Cougar soccer, as both teams traveled to San Bernardino to take on the Coyotes.  The women came away with a 3-3 tie, while the men’s two-game win streak was ended with a 3-1 loss.

Oct 13 -- Men's Soccer Earns Big Win in Final Home Game of Season
Less than 24 hours after dispatching Chapman 3-0, the Cougar men put forth another spirited effort on Saturday, defeating Southern Wesleyan by a score of 2-0.

Oct 12 -- Cougar Soccer Comes Away with Pair of Wins at Chapman
Friday was a good night for Coach Ron Pulvers’ soccer program, as both the men’s and women’s team came away with big wins at Chapman College.  The men kept their hopes for a .500 season alive with a convincing 3-0 victory, while the women boosted their playoff chances with a 1-0 win.

Sept 24 -- Cougar Men Beaten Easily by CSUDH
It was rough going for the Cougar men against a very tough Cal State Dominguez Hills squad on Monday.

Sept 21 -- Cougar Men Win Hard-Fought 3-2 Battle with UCSD
It wasn’t easy, but on Friday night the Cougar men’s soccer team went into UCSD and came away with a hard-fought 3-2 victory.   The win improves CSUSM’s record to 4-7, and is definitely an “up” in what has been a very up-and-down year.

Sept 15 -- Cougar Soccer Travels to Master’s College; Women Come Away with Big 4-1 Win
After playing well for the first half of the season but not getting the results, it appears that the Cougar women’s soccer team appears to have turned the corner.  On Saturday, the squad earned a convincing 4-1 win over Master’s College.    Meanwhile, the Cougar men failed to capitalize on the momentum from Thursday’s win, falling 5-2.

Sept 13 -- Men's Soccer Earns Hard-Fought 1-0 Win over U.C. Santa Cruz
After playing good soccer for the previous four halves, the Cougar men finally got the result they were looking for with a 1-0 win over Santa Cruz.  It was the Cougars' defense that carried the day, as CSUSM limited their opponent to just one shot on goal.

Sept 11 -- Cougar Men Lose Defensive Struggle at Westmont
On Saturday, the CSUSM men’s soccer team (2-6) played a quality game against Westmont (4-0), but was on the losing end of the 1-0 final score.

Sept 7 -- Cougar Soccer Plays Hard Against Azusa, but Falls in Both Games
On Friday, the Cougar men’s and women’s soccer squads traveled up to Azusa to play highly-ranked Azusa Pacific.  While CSUSM put up a good fight in both games, neither of them ended in CSUSM’s favor, with the men losing to #5 Azusa 4-2 and the women losing just 1-0 to the #1 ranked team in the nation.

Sept 4 -- Cougar Men Fall 2-0 to Point Loma
Facing a tough Point Loma Nazarene squad on the road, the Cougar men’s soccer team fell 2-0 on Tuesday.

Sept 1 -- Resounding 2-0 Victory for Men's Soccer

Coming off a painful loss earlier this week, the Cougar men’s soccer team rebounded nicely on Saturday, posting a convincing 2-0 victory over Pomona Pitzer.   The win bumps up the Cougars’ record to 2-3 on the season.

Aug 29 -- Cougar Women Lose Close One, Men Blown Out at CSULA
It was a rough night in Los Angeles for the CSUSM men’s and women’s soccer teams, as both squads lost their games against Cal State University Los Angeles.  The women lost 2-1, while the men fell 5-1.

Aug 26 -- Men's Soccer on Winning Track with Dominating 2-0 Victory
After last year’s 12-3-1 campaign last season, there was some concern about this year’s 0-2 start for Cougar men’s soccer.  But the team did its best to put those concerns to rest on Sunday, thanks to a dominating 2-0 victory over University of Mary.

Aug 24 -- Women’s Soccer Earns Hard-Fought Tie, Men Stumble to Loss in Salt Lake City
On Thursday, the Cougar men’s and women’s soccer teams packed up and headed to Salt Lake City to play two games each, the first out-of-state contests in the CSUSM Soccer’s short history. On Friday, with one game down for each team, the results are mixed.

Aug 20 -- Heartbreak for Men's Soccer in Opener
Men's soccer opened the season with an intense, tightly-contested game against a very strong Fresno Pacific squad, eventually losing a 2-1 heartbreaker in double-overtime.
