Men's Golf Posts Great Second Round, Tied for Ninth Place at Bill Cullum Inv.

In the second round of the Bill Cullum Invitational on Monday, Cougar men's golf recorded its best team score in three years, a 291.  The team is tied for 9th place through two of the tournament's three scheduled rounds.

As he did in the first tournament of the Fall, Tyler Hurst is leading the way for CSUSM.  The newcomer shot rounds of 74 and 70, and is tied for 9th with his total of 144.

Two other newcomers, Marco Gomez and Adam Loran, are second and third on the team.  They have scores of 147 and 148 and are tied for 32nd and 37th, respectively.

Also competing for the Cougars are Shezad Lakdawala (T68th; 155) and Curtis Gruidl (T95th; 165).

The tournament, which is being played at Wood Ranch Golf Club and is hosted by CSU Northridge, will conclude tomorrow.
