Trio from College of the Desert Lead After First Round of Cougar Fall Invitational

College of the Desert's Marcus Sostuk, Josh Lansing, and Ryan Indorina share the lead after the first round of the Cougar Fall Invitational, shooting even-par 71.  The top Cougar is Scott Conway, who is tied for 5th with a +3 (74).

The small tournament is hosted by Cal State San Marcos at local Lake San Marcos Golf Club.  Each golfer is competing as an individual (no team scores are calculated), and the two-round event provides a tune-up for golfers before the spring season.

Five members of the CSUSM men's golf team are among the 28 competing.  Conway, the squad's top player, missed the team's last tournament with an illness, but appears to be back in form at the familiar course.

Other Cougar golfers competing are Brandon Gandy (8th; +5), Kevin Riley (T-9th; +6), Kyle Kelch (T-20th; +11), Shezad Lakdawala (T-20th; +11), and Kyle Anderson (24th; +14).

The tournament will wrap up tomorrow.  Results will be posted on this website and GolfStat.
