Track & Field Finishes Up Competition at UCLA

Facing off against some of the top collegiate athletes in the country, Cal State San Marcos track & field competed at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational on Friday and Saturday, hosted by UCLA.  Coach Steve Scott’s team did itself proud, posting multiple top-10 finishes:

Ashleigh Davis took 8th in the women’s 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.61.

Billy Walker finished 8th in the men’s 100-meter dash with a blistering 10.93.

Dallon Williams placed 9th in the women’s 1,500-meter run, timing in at 4:37.

Kyle Hughes finished sixth in the men’s steeplechase with a time of 9:47.

And thrower Ronnie McFadden just missed the top-10 in the discus, with his throw of 43.74 meters earning him 11th.

The list of schools competing at the event included Texas A&M, UNLV, UC Davis, UCSD, Sacramento State, and of course host school UCLA, among others.
