Steve Scott has been inducted
into the San Diego Hall of Champions’ Breitbard Hall of Fame.
A three-time Olympian, Scott is
the world record holder for most sub-four minute miles. He also
held the American mile record for 25 years before it was broken in
July of this year, and is a member of the National Track & Field
Hall of Fame. As the head coach of the track & field and
cross-country teams at Cal State San Marcos, Scott has built the
programs into perennial contenders in the NAIA, coaching over 35
All-Americans in his decade-long tenure at the University.
