The Cougars Online
Website has the following layout structure:
The Home Page
will be the initial page viewed. It contains the first sentence or
two of the latest press releases, each with a link to the full
story. Also, for sports currently underway, quick links are
provided taking viewers directly to items of interest, e.g.,
results, rosters, stats, etc.
The Sponsored Sports
is a page that provides links to areas for each sponsored sport.
Within each sport area are pages or links to other pages (or Web
sites) that contain the following information:
- Quick facts
- Rosters
- Schedule/Results
- Statistics
- Coaches bios
- History of the sport
The Athletic
Department is the area related to the athletic
department operations. Sub-tier pages include:
- Overview - includes mailing address, phone
and FAX numbers and a brief overview.
- Staff - lists department personnel with
contact information.
- Coaches - lists the coaching staff with
contact information.
- Directions - provides text and graphical
information on how to get to the CSUSM campus.
The Athletic/Academic
Support page provides information pertinent to the
on-campus activities of student-athletes.
The Archived Press
Releases and Media Information area includes the
following items:
- Links to press releases issued by the Sports
Information Office.
- Links to Websites of local newspapers that
may cover the athletic events.
- Links to media guides published by the
Sports Information Office.
The Recruit
Information area provides items that should be of
interest to those who may desire to become student-athletes at the
University. It includes an online questionnaire that provides the
athletic staff information on prospective student-athletes.
The Visitor
Information page is expected to be useful to fans,
opposing teams, and visitors to the area surrounding CSUSM.
- There is a link to the local Convention and
Visitors Bureau, information on a local hotel, and even weather
information.
- For opposing teams, a document is to be
posted providing logistical information, e.g., training
facilities, what will be provided to the team during contests,
etc.
The Cougar Club
area describes the organization that helps in the fundraising
activities for CSUSM athletics. Events or other information
regarding Cougar Club activities will be posted during the year.
The Related WWW
Sites page provides links to Web sites of organizations
that have some relevance to intercollegiate sports activities.
These can be oversight organizations, various coaches'
associations, etc.
Sports Camps
that are conducted by the coaching staff of CSUSM are noted on
this page with relevant information.
The Athletic
Training page describes the facilities available at
CSUSM.
The opportunity to Contact Us is available
on the left navigation bar, which appears on every page. This provides
a link to both the administrative and coaching staff directory. |
