A 50th-minute goal by Fresno Pacific's Demi Hamilton proved to be the difference in Saturday's women's soccer team, as the home team held on to defeat CSUSM 1-0.

July 19 -- Women's Soccer Defeates FC Nuremburg 3-0
Congratulations to the Cougar women's soccer team for defeating FC Nuremburg 3-0 on Sunday! It was the first game the women's team played on Cougar soccer's 11-day trip to Germany. Lauren Johnson and Clarissa Hidalgo tallied the goals, and CSUSM's trademark swarming defense stifled Nuremburg's offense.
On the men's side, Cougar men's soccer lost their first game on Saturday.

Today turned out to be a bit gloomier than the past few days have been. It began raining early last night and did not let up the rest of the day. Unfortunately that did put a dent in the plans we had arranged, but at the same time it did allow some of us to catch up on some much needed sleep and relaxation from the jetlag and traveling.

Preseason training for Cal State San Marcos soccer is about to get a lot more interesting.
Next Wednesday, Head Coach Ron Pulvers and his men’s and women’s soccer teams will arrive in Munich, and over the following eleven days they’ll see the sights, take in the culture, and of course play plenty of soccer.
