Nov 17 -- Cross-Country Nationals:  Men finish 9th, Women 13th
In their final event of the season, the Cal State San Marcos men’s cross-country team finished 9th and the Cougar women finished 13th at Saturday’s NAIA National Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Nov 3 -- Women’s Cross-Country Finishes 2nd at Regionals

 The Cal State San Marcos women’s cross-country team is headed to Nationals, thanks to a second-place finish at Saturday’s Regionals.  Jessica Sandoval led the way with an 8th-place finish.

Oct 20 -- Byrne Returns Home to Win Cougar 5k Challenge; Mejia Wins 8k
In the first-ever cross-country event hosted by Cal State San Marcos, a pair of familiar faces took home the titles for the 5k and 8k races.  Anne-Marie Byrne, a former cross-country and track & field All-American at CSUSM, won the 5k; while current star Juan Mejia took home the title in the 8k.

Oct 6 -- Cougar Men Win Vanguard Invitational; Women Take Second
For the fourth time in the last five years, the Cal State San Marcos men took home the title at the Vanguard Invitational.  The women nearly made it a sweep for the day, settling for a close second.

Sept 29 -- Mejia Breaks School Record as Cross-Country Shines at Riverside
Saturday was a terrific day for Cougar Cross-Country, from both a team and individual perspective.  On the team side, both the men's and women's side finished in the top-5.  Individually, senior Juan Mejia broke his own school-record.

Sept 15 -- Cougar Cross-Country Continues Season at Aztec Invitational
The CSUSM men’s and women’s cross-country teams competed in their second event of the season on Saturday, and both squads continued to look good.  The men finished in 6th place, while the women took 8th.

Sept 8 -- Solid Start to Season for Cougar Cross-Country
The CSUSM men’s and women’s cross-country teams got their seasons started on the right foot on Saturday at U.C. Irvine. The men finished 4th in the 20 team field, while the women placed 7th.

Aug 8 -- 2007 Cross Country Season Preview
2006 proved to be both a triumphant and frustrating season for Cal State San Marcos Cross Country.  Now, coming off that roller-coaster campaign, the men's and women's squads are ready to lace 'em up and race again this fall.
