May 23 -- Women's Golf Finishes in School-Record Third Place at National Championships
It was cold.  It was rainy.  And it was a record-setting day for Cal State San Marcos women's golf, who braved the elements to hold onto third place at the National Championships Friday at Lake San Marcos CC.

May 20 -- Cal State San Marcos Tops Leaderboard after Day One of NAIA Women's Golf National Championships
After the first of four rounds, Cal State San Marcos finds itself leading the pack at the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships.  The event, co-hosted by CSUSM and the San Diego International Sports Council, is being played at Lake San Marcos Country Club.

April 22 - Women's Golf Wins Regionals!
Cougar women's golf came home from Tuesday's Regionals with some nice new hardware.  The team won the Regional Championship, its second straight; Carly Ludwig cruised to the individual title; and Coach Fred Hanover was named Coach of the Year.

April 8 -- Women's Golf Takes 7th at Matador Invitational
In their final tune-up before Regionals, the Cal State San Marcos women's golf team placed 7th at Tuesday's Matador Invitational.  Adriana Bormann led the way, tying for 21st.

March 19 -- Women's Golf Finishes 8th, Men 10th at Diablo Grande; Ludwig Places 6th
The Cougar men’s and women’s golf teams continued their march to Regionals on Tuesday, competing at the Diablo Grande Invitatational.  The women, led by Carly Ludwig, placed 6th; while the men, competing without #1 golfer Scott Conway, took 10th.

March 11 -- Women's Golf Places 10th at Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational
Competing all the way in Florida, the Cal State San Marcos women’s golf team placed 10th at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational. Carly Ludwig was the team’s top finisher, tying for 28th.

Feb. 19 -- Oklahoma City Wins Cal State San Marcos Women's Golf Invitational; CSUSM Takes Second
As predicted, #1 ranked Oklahoma City dominated the CSUSM Invitational, winning going away.  But the Cal State San Marcos women's golf team had a very good showing, finishing second behind Carly Ludwig, who placed second individually.

Feb. 12 -- Strong Season Debut for Women's Golf and Natalie Todd
The Cougar women's golf team got their spring off to a nice start, tying for 6th at the Lady Braveheart Challenge.  And Natalie Todd's CSUSM debut was successful as well, resulting in an 8th place finish.

Nov 6 -- Women’s Golf Closes Out Fall with 13th Place Finish at Cal Poly
Competing in their final tournament of the Fall season, the Cougar women’s golf team placed 13th in the 18-team field at the Lamkin Cup/Cal Poly Invitational.  Carly Ludwig was the Cougars’ top finisher, tying for 20th.

Oct 31 -- Women's Golf Places 5th at Dennis Rose Invitational
Competing in beautiful Waikoloa, Hawaii, the Cougar women's golf team was able to stay focused and finish 5th in the 12-team field.  Carly Ludwig was the team's top finisher, tying for 8th.

Oct 16 -- Women's Golf Places 18th at Aztec Fall Classic
Competing in their second tournament of the Fall season, the Cougar women’s golf team placed 18th at the Aztec Fall Classic.  Adriana Bormann led CSUSM by finishing in a tie for 64th.

Sept 25 -- Women's Golf Places 7th at Grand Canyon
Competing at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational at Coldwater Golf Club in Arizona, CSUSM placed 7th in a tough 16-team field that featured Cal Baptist (4th), Lubbock Christian (2nd), and tourney winner Florida Southern.  The top performer for Coach Fred Hanover's Cougars was freshman Lynell de Villa, who tied for 15th.
