Location: Near the town of Anza on Highway 371 about thirty miles west of Palm Desert Cahuilla
stays cool and dry as it sits at 4,000 ft, between Mt. Palomar and San Jacinto Peak. The
residents have chosen to keep the reservation relatively undeveloped and natural. The
terrain is characterized by giant boulders, rolling hills, dry washes and brush. The
sparse population resides in a few ranches and an old schoolhouse serves as the tribal
hall.
Library: There is no library at Cahuilla, only a casino, with
expressed interest in having a library.
