We are very pleased to share this 2004-05 annual report with the campus community.  During this last year, Finance and Administrative Services began the process of aligning its goals to the new strategic priorities of the University.  As the campus’ strategic priorities take hold and weave their way through the fabric of institutional decision making, we are excited to blend our planning model with that of the campus. We will do this through sustained assessment and development of performance indicators using our Balanced Scorecard and division Strategy Map.

From a foundation of success that is based on our human resources, we will build our business processes to serve the campus community while ensuring regulatory compliance within the public higher education environment in California.  We will continue to establish goals and objectives based on data that we received both through active solicitation of feedback from the community, and through other performance indicators that we develop based on their relevance to those we serve -- faculty, staff, students, and the community.

Throughout our annual report, we have identified key accomplishments of the FAS division in 2004-05 that demonstrate our support of the University’s mission and goals.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions, or if you would like to provide suggestions for improvement.
