CSUSM Days of Reduced Campus Operation Plan Calendar
The $564 million cut in funding to the CSU has necessitated that CSUSM adopt a plan for days of reduced campus operation and employee furloughs. The Campus may be open for instruction on days of reduced campus operation, with the exception of November 25, 2009 (Day before Thanksgiving), December 31, 2009 (Winter Break) and the week of Spring Break in 2010. Common faculty furlough days for Spring semester are January 19, March 26, and April 5th and classes will not be held on those dates. In addition, each faculty member will have additional individual faculty furlough days. Students should consult the course syllabi to determine these days. On days of reduced Campus operation, University Police, student housing, and limited food service options will be open. The Field House (recreation center) is reviewing their schedules and staffing to determine if they may be open. All other administrative offices and the Kellogg Library will be closed. During the week of the Spring Break (March 29 – April 2), the campus will be closed with the exception of University Police. Many services are available online to students, faculty and staff, and those are accessible 24/7. Please view the complete list of the days of reduced Campus operation. Also, additional information about furloughs, including the Furlough calendar and Frequently Asked Questions and Answers (FAQs) regarding furloughs can be found on the Furlough Central website.
