College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

Current Students

Congratulations on being accepted to the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP). The below items are some of the contract agreements that you have agreed upon: 

  • Meet with a CAMP Advisor a minimum of twice a semester.
  • Complete a minimum of 12 units per semester throughout my participation in CAMP.
  • Obtain a 2.5 GPA or higher for each semester or my CAMP services will be jeopardized.
  • Participate in two CAMP workshops per semester.
  • Complete and submit 20 hours of Community Service per semester.
  • Utilize tutorial assistance whenever instructed by CAMP staff.  I understand that my attendance and academic progress will be closely monitored.
  • Inform the CAMP office immediately of any address or phone # changes.
  • Apply for Financial Aid and scholarships annually, beginning January 1st.
  • Apply for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) starting in October.
  • I understand that in mid-fall and spring I must schedule appointments to complete a CAMP Mid-Semester Evaluation review for academic progress.
  • I understand that if my Mid-Semester Evaluation is not satisfactory and I fail to obtain a 2.5 GPA per semester, I will be placed on “CAMP Academic Notice” or “CAMP Disqualification” I will furthermore be required to complete retention appointments and CAMP services jeopardized.
  • Not hold office for any campus organization for my 1st year at CSUSM.                            

Failure to comply with any of the above may result in a registration hold or the cancellation of my CAMP eligibility, including any stipends from CAMP.
