
Senior Checklist
Please follow the below checklist to be considerd for the College Assitance Migrant Program. Click on the link to the right to download a PDF version.
Fall
- Apply to CSUSM - Between Oct. 1st– Nov. 30th at www.csumentor.edu you will receive an email & hard copy confirmation (Complete admissions application fee waiver). AB540 students: Contact the CSUSM Admissions Office for more information at (760) 750-4848.
- Apply for EOP – We highly encourage students to start applying for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) after they submit CSUSM Admissions application at www.csusm.edu/eop.
- Check Application Status – Log into CSUSM student account at my.csusm.edu to check on any additional requests.
- College Entrance Exams - You must register for the SAT or ACT exams. Start registering by October. (Contact your high school counselor for fee waivers). SAT: www.collegeboard.com • ACT www.actstudent.org SAT/ACT Scores: Make sure to request exam scores to be sent to CSUSM when taking exam or before December.
- College Placement Exams – Unless exempt, you must register to take both the ELM & EPT (Math & English) Exams at www.ets.org/csu Start registering for exams between November - January. (The cost per exam is $18).
Spring
- Financial Aid - Start applying for Financial Aid (FAFSA) as early as January 1st at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- CSUSM Scholarship: Complete and return “CSUSM General Scholarship Application” along with personal essay at www.csusm.edu/finaid/scholarship_all.
- Intent to Enroll – If offered admission to CSUSM, student must accept offer by login into my.csusm.edu student account and accept “Intent to Enroll” by May 1st with a $150 enrollment deposit (Possible fee waiver).
- CAMP & CSUSM Mandatory Freshman Orientation – All potential CAMP students must register through CAMP starting in April for priority (Possible fee deferment).
- Final Official High School Transcript - Start requesting official transcripts to be mailed to CSUSM as soon as you graduate between May - June. Transcript must be received by July 1st (required by CAMP).
- Final Copy of High School Transcript – All potential students must send an additional copy of final grades to the CAMP Office, fax # (760) 750-3346.
Other Reminders
- AP Exams:CAMP encourages students to take AP Exams and scores with a 3 or higher, may receive college credit by sending scores to CSUSM.
