Career Counseling and Major Exploration
Individual counseling and advising sessions are one hour appointments with a Career Counselor.  These appointments can help you with:

Career and major exploration through self-assessment and decision making exercises

Assessment of skills, interests, personality traits and      values

Exploration of graduate school options

Developing job search strategies

Resources for exploring the world of work

Interviewing skills through Mock Interviews

Skills such as letter writing, resume writing, networking

Salary and benefit negotiation

Alumni who belong to the CSUSM Alumni Association are entitled to a one hour career counseling appointment. Additional appointments required a $25 fee per appointment.
