Career Counselor and
College of Education, Health
and Human Services (CoEHHS) Liaison
My role at CSU San Marcos
As the Associate Director of the Career Center, I provide operational support as a member of the administrative team, but my primary role is to serve as lead career counselor and liaison to the College of Education, Health and Human Services. I also teach undecided first-year students in GEL 101.
My career path
I received my Master of Arts in Education (Counseling) and Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese, both from San Diego State University. After working in a variety of industries, including teaching English and bank operations, I was hired by SDSU/CSUSM in 1989.
The rewards in doing what I do
My passion is helping clients discover and pursue their dreams! I love it when students or alumni let me know about their successes and keep in touch.
My words of wisdom to students
Don’t settle; study what you want to learn and pursue a career that provides deep satisfaction. Let’s make the world a better place!
In my free time
I read a lot of fiction, work out with Zumba and yoga, and enjoy cooking for family and friends.
