My role at CSU San Marcos
As the budget/operations coordinator for the Career Center, my role is to make sure the center’s business operations are managed effectively. I provide administrative support to the Director and manage all things budget. I provide supervision to our Student Assistants and interact with students providing general information on our services.
My career path
I received my Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude in Human Development with an emphasis in Counseling Services from California State University San Marcos in 2011. I have previous experience within the preschool setting as an aide, as well as many years administrative experience in bookkeeping. I love to work with people and thoroughly enjoy the higher education population. I thrive on organization and keeping things in order. Combining my love for interacting with the student population and my experience in administrative work I am thrilled to have a position at my Alma Mater.
The rewards in doing what I do
I love being a part of the wonderful Career Center and witnessing students find out more about themselves by visiting the center. I find great joy in being “behind the scenes” to make sure everything runs smoothly for students. It’s always amazing to see and hear the success stories of all students who utilize the Career Center!
My words of wisdom to students
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Find your passion and set objectives to obtain your goal. Do what you love!
In my free time
I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and family. We love to cook and incorporate the Hawaiian culture into our lives. I love to travel and hope to get to all my dream places one day!
