SOE Prerequisite Coursework

How to Enroll as a Non-CSUSM Student
There are two options for enrolling in the School of Education Prerequisite coursework EDUC 350, EDUC 364, and EDUC 422 if you are not currently a CSUSM student.

  • Option 1: Enroll through CSUSM Extended Learning
  • Option 2: Enroll through the School of Education


Option 1: CSUSM Extended Learning
If you are a non-CSUSM student, and you do NOT need financial aid, you can enroll through Extended Learning. This option does not require application to CSUSM.

Go to Extended Learning's Summer course schedule and further details on how to register.

Option 2: CSUSM
If you are a non-CSUSM student, and you DO need financial aid, you can enroll through the School of Education. This option does require application to CSUSM through CSU Mentor and a $55 application fee.

  1. Complete the CSUSM Graduate Application through CSU Mentor (available online)
  2. Complete the School of Education online Enrollment Form.
  3. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  CSUSM’s Title IV school code is 030113.
