Years at CSUSM?
About four and a half years

What is your short term goal?
Stay ahead of the weeds…the weeds…the weeds…and plant a butterfly garden (which is basically composed of your more attractive weeds).

What is your long term goal?
See my granddaughters graduate from college and save the world.

What is your greatest accomplishment (personal or professional)?
I feel really good when I can talk someone into that place where they believe in themselves and go for it.

What is favorite movie?
Movies I can watch over and over and over again: Charade, 8 ½, Dr. Strangelove, Help!, and just about anything with Charlie Chaplin – that leaves out so much. Did I mention I like old movies?

What is your favorite food?
I love Mexican cuisine.  I haven’t traveled much in Mexico (only to Enseñada), but fortunately the cuisine has traveled to us.

What is your favorite book?
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo

What are your hobbies?
I like gardening and knitting.  If I had more unstructured time I would like to write short stories (but it would be good just to write a few letters).

What is your favorite thing about working at CSUSM?
I like supporting the mission of education.

What would you like to do when you retire?
Is there a day in my future when I will have more time to read? I’d like to work in the costume shop of a theatre company or maybe do set design; I love working on a team with a project to make something. I worked at a newspaper for a couple of years and every night we all had such a great feeling because we finished the job and put the paper to bed. The next day everything was brand new with no mistakes. Also…work on my screenplay ;-)
