Years at CSUSM: A little over 16 years (I was hired at CSUSM on March 16, 1996)
What is your short term goal? To send my daughter to the best University possible.
What is your long term goal? To be healthy and live happy! Enjoy everything and everyone around me and not to take life for granted.
What is your greatest accomplishment (personal or professional)? Pursuing my MBA degree.
What is your favorite movie? Gone with the Wind! Overall, I love all romantic movies.
What is your favorite food? This is such a hard question. I love all kind of foods but, I truly enjoy Persian food the most.
What is your favorite book? Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
What are your hobbies? Shopping, throwing parties and entertaining others, and traveling. However, I would like to start some outdoor activities such as camping and fishing.
Tell us about your family: I come from a big family. I¿m married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful children. My daughter is 16 and my son is 8. I have to say that my son is the love of my life and everyone who knows me very well, they know this as well. I have 6 brothers and one sister. But, unfortunately my sister got killed in a car accident 12 years ago. One of my brothers lives in San Diego, CA and the other 5 live back home in Iran. They all are married except the youngest one who is 20 years old and studying to become a computer engineer! I have two nephews and one niece. But, they are far away from me and I don't get a chance to spend as much time with them. I feel like I don't know them very well.
What is the proudest/happiest moment of your life? The proudest moment of my life was giving birth to my two beautiful children and the happiest moment of my life was on my wedding day!
What is your favorite thing about working at CSUSM? I enjoy helping students and working with faculty and staff. I enjoy the one-on-one contact and helping people find solutions to their problems. Working at CSUSM has given me this opportunity to be with people and interact with them. I feel that I'm part of CSUSM community and I am so blessed to work with as many wonderful people who are also part of the CSUSM community.
What would you like to do when you retire? I would love to travel around the world.
Who is the most famous person you've ever met? The prince of Iran when the former king (Shah) was in power. I used to attend his birthday party every year!
