Current Position: Academic/Administrative Coordinator, Office of Interdisciplinary & Emerging Programs (PHIL, ECON, GBST, ETHN, NATV, COGN,FMST)
Years at CSUSM? 22
What is your short term goal? to spend a substantial amount of time in Mexico
What is your long term goal? to retire and babysit my grandchild
What is your greatest accomplishment (personal or professional)? Working on my undergraduate degree
What is favorite movie? – Gone with the Wind
What is your favorite food? - Absolutely Asian
What is your favorite book – Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
What are your hobbies? Walking, camping, hiking, beach, sewing
Tell us about your family: I come from a large family, My family exhausts me—4 sisters and 2 brothers, several of them are grandparents, so we have huge family get togethers…very entertaining. I have one daughter who recently married and who will be graduating from CSUSM this year. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for five years. My parents (who recently passed away) instilled in us the importance of family, so we will continue with the tradition of getting together at least once a month.
What is the proudest/happiest moment of your life? – the birth and wedding of my daughter, Jamie
What is your favorite thing about working at CSUSM? –The faculty, the staff, and the students. I thoroughly enjoy working in higher education and appreciate the opportunity to assist students with their academic success.
What would you like to do when you retire? – I’d like to travel especially to Mexico.
Who is the most famous person you ever met? – Jay Leno. I met him at the MGM grand in Las Vegas.
