The Chemistry and Biochemistery Department has a wide range of equipment used both in teaching and student research projects.  This hands on training is particularly important in modern chemistry.  We have for student use:

  • Bruker ARX 400MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance FTIR machines for research and organic labs
  • 4 brands of UV/VIS spectrophotomers used at all levels of instruction
  • 4  types Gas Chromatographs  to provide a wide range of experience
  • A variety of HPLC systems for classroom and research use
