Are you a Civility champion? CSUSM recognizes students, faculty and staff who display Civility on our Campus. CSUSM Civility Definition: Conducting oneself with care, respect, and empathy while acknowledging the culture and humanity of others. Like waves through the ocean, our vision is that one simple act will have a ripple effect and a tsunami of civility will take over our campus. We encourage you to identify and nominate students, faculty and staff on campus. You may also self-nominate.
Each nominated individual will be considered a Civility Champion and will have their name displayed on our website. The Civility committee will use the nominations to identify a Civility ICON (Initiating Civil Opportunities Now). Each selected Civility ICON will receive:
1. Their picture displayed on the Civility website
2. A multi-colored Civility shirt
3. A Civility hat
Thank you so much for your thoughtful Civility Champion Nomination! We really appreciate you taking the time to recognize a fellow CSUSM community member who treats others with care, respect, and empathy.
Please share our nomination form (http://www.csusm.edu/civility/nominationform.html) with others, as we are trying to appreciate all of the wonderful, Civil people on our campus!
