The Early Assessment Program (EAP) provides students with an early indication of whether or not they are ready for college English and math. The EAP measures students’ English and math skills at the end of the junior year to let students know in advance if they are ready for college level work.

In addition, high school teachers can improve their skills to help students read and write effectively, as well as develop creative approaches to problem solving by.

EAP Support for High School Teachers

The ERWC is aligned with the California English-Language Arts Content Standards and addresses critical reading and writing problems identified by the CSU English Placement Test Committee.

To promote wide-scale adoption of the Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC),
the CSU and County Offices of Education are collaborating to provide professional development for English teachers at a variety of locations across the state.

A committee of mathematics professors, math educators from the CSU, and math experts from county offices and high schools, have developed a short professional development program for math teachers who teach Algebra I and higher.

The Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project's primary goal is to help California teachers
prepare students for success in further study of mathematics.
