Description:
From the class search page in PeopleSoft you can view classes being offered for a specific term or from the course catalog. Class schedule and catalog data from 1990 forward is available to view.
Navigation:
- From your Student Center page, click the "Search For Classes" button (top right).
- Choose a Term and, based on this selection, either "Search for Classes" (from the class schedule) or "Browse Catalog" (to look at courses in the catalog).
- Click the "Go" button to start the search.
- Select the "Course Subject" and the various other parameters (number, career, open classes, etc.) that you want to search.
- If you select only a "Course Subject" the widest selection for that subject will be returned.
- Then click the "Search" button.
- You will be presented with a list of classes that meet your search criteria.
- Note the class title and number of sections available.
- A green "Status" dot means the section is open. A blue box indicates the class is full and no seats are available.
- To learn more about the class, click on the "Section" link.
- This will give you more details on the class such as:
- Class Capacity
- Available Seats and more
- Note: There may be more sections available (but not displayed). Click the "View All Sections" link to view all sections of a class.

To search by Course Attribute Value (example: BB, CC, DD):
- From your Student Center page, click the "Search For Classes" button (top right).
- Click the "Browse/Search courses" link, in the "Search for Courses area.
- You can change Institution and Term (where applicable) and, based on those selections, search either classes in the Class Schedule or courses in the Course Catalog.
- Click "Go" to start the search.
- On the Class Search Criteria page:
- Leave the "Course Subject" blank.
- Leave "Course Number" set to "is exactly" and leave the number field blank.
- Check the "Show Open Classes Only" checkbox.
- And click the "Additional Search Criteria" link.
- In the "Course Attribute" field, type the code:
GERQ - Click the magnifying glass icon, next to the "Course Attribute Value" field, to display all possible values.
- From the "Look Up Course Attribute Value" table, click the link for the value you want to search (example: BB, CC, DD).
- You will be returned to the Class Search Criteria page and the code you clicked will show in the "Course Attribute Value" field.
- Click the "Search" button.
Note: When your search results are displayed, if you click on the "Section" number link for a class, you will see the Course Attribute in the "ENROLLMENT INFORMATION" section of the class details.
Note: There may be more sections available (but not displayed). Click the "View All Sections" link to view all sections of a class.
