Hi! Welcome to our website.

Many of you may be here with one question in mind: Why should I choose the GSCM (Global Supply Chain Management) option or the MIS (Management Information Systems) option* in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM)? Or, more specifically, how can ISOM help me in my future career?

Well, besides earning a business degree with broad understanding in finance, marketing, management, and other essential skills a business school graduate should possess, with ISOM you will also have the opportunity to learn how to manage the worldwide supply network of a contemporary global company, including its supplier management, manufacturing or service delivering, distribution and marketing, procurement, down to its customer relationship management if you choose the GSCM option. Or you will gain in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, such as business information systems, database management, networking and telecommunications (computer or wireless), multimedia, and Internet applications if you choose the MIS option.

You might have noticed that the US News and World Report listed Supply Chain Management as one of the fastest growing and in demand areas; and Money Magazine recently listed certain MIS  related professions, such as IT analyst and software engineer among the 10 best jobs based on their growth, pay, stress-levels and other factors.  Upon finishing your studies at ISOM, the combination of managerial and technical skills you have acquired will open the door to some of the most rewarding jobs in the world.  As a matter of fact, many of our ISOM graduates have obtained jobs in exciting areas such as information technology management, business consulting, manufacturing, and global supply chain management.
