Welcome to the Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department website. We're glad you stopped by and invite you to explore the two options offered within our department: Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and Management Information Systems (MIS).

You may wonder, "Why should I choose to concentrate my studies in ISOM?” Well, besides earning an outstanding business degree with a broad understanding in finance, marketing, management, and other essential skills, our two options allow you to further distinguish yourself with these in-demand areas:

  • GSCM Option - Gives you the opportunity to learn how to manage the worldwide supply network of a contemporary global company, including its supplier management, manufacturing or service delivering, distribution and marketing, procurement, including customer relationship management
  • MIS Option - Allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, such as business information systems, database management, networking and telecommunications (computer or wireless), multimedia, and Internet applications

Recently, US News and World Report listed Supply Chain Management as one of the fastest growing and most in-demand areas; and Money Magazine listed certain MIS-related professions, such as IT analyst and software engineer, among the 10 best jobs based on their growth, pay, stress-levels and other factors.

Please contact us if you have any questions about the excellent opportunities an ISOM focused education will bring you.
