CoBA Community Highlights

Izaac Villalobos

Always looking to stay in touch with alumni, CoBA caught up with Izaac Villalobos, an alumnus who graduated in Spring 2013. A former business major with an emphasis in finance, Izaac has gone on to become the general manager of Fallbrook Winery. Fallbrook Winery currently holds the title for the largest winery in San Diego, producing as many as 30,000 cases of high end wine a year. They distribute to nine other US states and export to Canada and China. Aside from producing wine, Fallbrook Winery is largely involved in vineyard installation and management. Located in a formerly avocado-dominated place in San Diego, the winery succeeded in saving farmers water by installing vineyards which use one twelfth the water that avocado groves require. In the management sector, the winery supports those who are interested in having a vineyard on their own land without the hassle of maintaining it themselves. Along with being a part of a rapidly growing business in San Diego, Izaac enjoys working with wine and continues to find ways to extend the reach of an already prosperous company. Recently married, Izaac also enjoys spending time with his wife whilst spoiling his nieces and nephews whenever he's with his family. Izaac is also one of the newest members of the CSUSM Alumni Association CoBA Chapter board. CoBA is delighted to see Izaac prosper at Fallbrook Winery, and looks forward to his contributions to the alumni board!
