The CSUSM Vineyard Management Series connects San Diego commercial and hobby vintners with academic lecturers who offer studied insight into the issues involved in running a vineyard. 

Planning and Improvement is presented by Mark Greenspan, Ph.D. Dr. Greenspan is the President & Viticulturist of Advanced Viticulture, Inc. He has over two decades of viticultural experience, comprised of scientific, technical and practical field efforts. Mark’s background includes a Masters degree in Horticulture/Viticulture and a Doctorate in Agricultural Engineering, both from the University of California, Davis. He is regarded as one of the world’s leading experts in winegrape irrigation and has written scientific and trade journal articles on the subject.
