The CSUSM Vineyard Management Series connects San Diego commercial and hobby vintners with academic lecturers who offer studied insight into the issues involved in running a vineyard. 

Guest Presenter: Dr. Sanliang Gu, Professor of Viticulture and Ricchiuti Chair of Viticulture Research, CSU Fresno Department of Viticulture & Enology.

Dr. Sanliang Gu presents his second session in the CSUSM Vineyard Management Series about integrating quality vineyard management standards that yield quality grapes for beautiful wines.

Topics covered include:

  • CANOPY: Proper and timely management to produce high quality fruit
  • IRRIGATION: Maintaining appropriate levels of the life blood of the vine
  • NUTRITION: Understanding soil nutrients for vine and fruit development
