David Bennett, BBA

David Bennett is a lecturer at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) where he teaches Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Career Development, and Business Ethics. He is also the co-founder of the “In the Executive's Chair” class and has taught Leadership and Organizational Behavior in the MBA Program.

He did his undergraduate work at Northwestern University and California Lutheran University and attended the Advanced Management program at Harvard Graduate School of Business. He has over 30 years of experience as a senior executive at Motel 6, PepsiCo, Taco Bell, Marriott, Host and Mail Boxes, Etc. Worldwide. He has a thorough background in all business disciplines with emphasis in strategic planning, organizational structure, organizational culture, national/international expansion and leadership.

He speaks publicly on Leadership and does executive mentoring/coaching. He is involved in numerous business/community associations throughout southern California one of which is the locally renowned Chairmen's RoundTable whose membership is made up of a select group of 43 retired CEO’s or Board Chairmen who mentor struggling companies and has also been on the Board of the Chairmen's RoundTable. He serves on the board and is a lecturer at the Prague Leadership Institute in the Czech Republic. He has been an honorary faculty member at Michigan State University and Washington State University. He has served as a member of the Marketing Committee and the Legislative Committee of the Board of Directors for the International Franchise Association. He was a Member of the Corporation (MOC) of the Culinary Institute of America.

He is a co-founding member of the Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building (CLIMB) and the founder of the Executive Mentoring Program for the College of Business.
