Introduction

Senior Experience is a rigorous, integrative academic experience that gives students the opportunity to work in teams with local organizations on business projects. In this program, 4-5 students will form a team, select a business-related project which interests them, and develop their problem-solving skills by completing a consulting project.
  • Students fulfill the Senior Experience requirement by participating in an 5-unit, one-semester course sequence.
  • Students are expected to complete Senior Experience in their last semester, either Fall or Spring.
  • During the first 1-unit course, student teams are matched with projects and develop a project proposal. Students also examine topics such as problem identification, problem solving, critical thinking, consultation, project management and strategies for team effectiveness.
  • In the second 4-unit course, each team analyzes the problem, develops recommendations, and then implements the best solution in the sponsoring organization.

We hope that all students take advantage of the Senior Experience by turning it into a first-rate learning and career development opportunity.
