First Year Students
Congratulations on your decision to further your education! We would like to welcome you to the College of Business Administration and let you know that we are here to assist you in your journey to earn your Bachelors degree. Along the way, we encourage you to meet with your CoBA advisors and utilize the services that are available to you. The more you connect with us, the better we can help you succeed.
All students interested in majoring in Business Administration are initially classified as Pre-Business Status. As students complete their First Year Student/Sophomore course sequence, including the Pre-Business Core, they will work with the College of Business Administration (CoBA) advisors. Upon successful completion of the Pre-Business Core, a student will be changed to Business Status.
Please complete the following First Year Student/Sophomore Pre-Business checklist:
- Familiarize yourself with the details of the undergraduate business administration program/major
- Consult the appropriate Lower-Division Roadmaps (LDRs) as a guide for semester planning
- Utilize the Student Workload Worksheet to determine the maximum units you should take
- Submit your completed Business Status Application to the CoBA Advising Office
