The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) has declared October 20, 2010  the second "National Day on Writing".  NCTE says, "In light of the significance of writing in our national life, to draw attention to the remarkable variety of writing we engage in, and to help writers from all walks of life recognize how important writing is to their lives, October 20, 2010, will be celebrated as The National Day on Writing."

Teacher Leaders from the San Marcos Writing Project will share writing strategies thatK-8 students could engage throughout the year.  Online resources will be shared as well as how to access the National Gallery of Writing.  Conference sessions are free and lunch will be provided for $15.
