Graduates with mobility impairments should contact the Office of Disabled Student Services by April 30 for assistance at the 2012 Commencement Ceremonies. A platform lift provides access to the Commencement Stage for graduates with mobility impairments.
CSUSM will provide special parking permits for those who indicate mobility impairments. This special permit will allow your guests to drive to a designated spot and drop off your guests at the ceremony site which limits long walks or stairs. There will be wheelchair accessible seating for a guest and two companions. Please keep in mind that there will be no wheelchairs or motorized scooters available at the CSUSM Commencement Ceremonies for individual use.
Sign language interpreters will be provided on stage at both Commencement ceremonies. Spectators who are Deaf are strongly encouraged to contact Michelle Saavedra in Disabled Student Services by email at misaaved@csusm.edu to discuss seating needs.
